Wag Hill, an ecofriendly lodge, offers the ultimate in privacy and seclusion, providing an opportunity to relax, unwind, fish and explore one of the last indigenous environments on the shores of Lake Victoria.

Wag Hill Lodge is situated on 17,3 hectares of protected indigenous forest and is dedicated to fostering the natural environment of Lake Victoria. For the naturalist, Wag Hill is a paradise, with an abundance of bird life, small animals and incredible forests, all which can be viewed on walks around the Lodge or while relaxing by the pool.

Wag Hill Lodge has a warm, friendly and inviting atmosphere. The three unique bungalows of Malachite, Little Egret and Hammerkop are all positioned to provide magnificent views over Lake Victoria

Each bungalow is unique and has a private balcony which provide stunning views over Lake Victoria, particularly the magnificent hues of sunrise. The local wood reflects character and warmth; the bedroom features a solid timber bed with a mosquito net suspended from bamboo poles and the walls are windows opening up to the African forest outside, lending an air of romance encouraging guests to lie in bed and enjoy the view of the majestic Lake Victoria. Natural light provides soothing tones and a restful stay and the d├ęcor combines natural slate floors and solid wood furnishings. Each bungalow is complete with en-suite facilities.

Bill Geach, owner and operator, has shown amazing vision and creativity with the construction and placement of stunning and unique buildings at Wag Hill Lodge.

The use of natural materials and solar energy embraces the environmentally friendly aspect.
